It’s always hilarious when a liberal democrat claims to believe in science. It usually comes when they try desperately to defend the narrative that mankind of contributing to climate change – they think that simply stating “science proves it” will end the debate before it even begins. The irony, though, is that the liberals don’t believe in science, especially when it comes to topics like gender and biology.
Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren was recently called out on social media for doing just that – claiming that she believes in science in order to further the left’s climate change agenda. “I’m going to say something really crazy: I believe in science,” she wrote on Twitter. “Climate change is real and we have a moral obligation to protect the Earth for our children and grandchildren.” The tweet was in response to a post from President Donald Trump, which read, “In the East, it could be the coldest New Year’s Eve on record. Perhaps we could use a little bit of that good old global warming that our Country, but not other countries, was going to pay trillions of dollars to protect against. Bundle up!”
Not long after the Massachusetts Senator published her tweet about how she believes in science, Elizabeth Warren received a tremendous amount of backlash from Twitter users who saw the hilarious irony in her statement. “DNA is also based in science,” replied conservative actor James Woods. “Yours does not show you are Native American. So either you are an outright liar or you actually don’t believe in science. Which is it?”
Others, like David Reaboi, Ben Shapiro, Aaron Bandler, and Josh Hammer, were also quick to call out Elizabeth Warren on her hypocrisy, not just with regards to her claim that she is part Native American, but also regarding her rejection of the idea that life begins at conception and her belief that gender is based on how one feels on the inside rather than on biology.
And it’s not just Elizabeth Warren that denies science on multiple different issues; it’s the vast majority of the Democrat Party. In fact, many colleges and universities across the country now reinforce the idea that gender is not based on biology and genitalia but rather on how one feels on the inside – that is, if a male feels as though he is a female then he is a female, and if a female feels as though she is a male then she is a male. Despite the fact that this concept is not rooted in science whatsoever, many left-wing educators and professors still insist on teaching it to their students anyway.
This past July, Campus Reform reported that Princeton University is now allowing students to record their gender identity in official university records. On the university’s student services interface, students can now click on a tab called “Update Gender Identity” and choose between a number of gender identities, including cisgender, genderqueer, gender non-conforming, transgender, man, woman and other. In this way, Princeton University is essentially acknowledging that there are more genders than simply “male” and “female,” which sadly is becoming a common argument among the progressive left, both within America’s education system and elsewhere. (Related: However you identify, there are only two types of brains: male and female.)
It’s also a shame that such a prestigious school like Princeton University would abandon science and biology in order to appease the social justice crowd in the name of political correctness. It all is just one more example of how the liberal Democrats, including Elizabeth Warren, are attempting to disconnect our society from reality in order to fulfill their “progressive” agenda.
